So Google has successfully managed to search every single thing on this planet. Want to know about the concert last week? Want to know how to make a lasagna? Want to find your android phone? Google it.
We all have been through that point where we can’t find our mobile phones at work or home or somewhere out. Now no need to worry about it. Google takes care of it. Google has cooked a new way to find a lost android phone using it’s find my phone feature.
How Google’s “Find My Phone” feature works:
1- Start a Computer or a Laptop and open any browser.
2- Make sure you login with your Google ID which you use on your android phone.
3- Open Google and search “find my phone”. Every time you search “find my phone”, you need to login each time for security purpose. It will automatically show a map with the distance your phone is from where you are.
4- Once you’ve asked Google to find the location of your phone, you’ll see a notification on your phone or tablet letting you know Android Device Manager requested its location.
5- By clicking on the address, a new page may open from where you could ring your phone. Your android phone may ring for 5 minutes.
6- If you think you lost your phone, you could lock your phone or erase the data from your android device to protect your privacy.
The new search feature is live now on Google, but your Android device also needs to be updates with the latest version of the Google app.
The Google search feature isn’t the only way to track down a lost Android device. We had a similar app, called Android Device Manager, which can locate and ring your device. If you think your device has been stolen, you can also remotely lock it and reset the password or erase its data so that your privacy is protected.

Apple offers a similar tracking feature, called Find My iPhone. Using your iCloud account’s find option or the Find My iPhone app, you can track down your iPhone or iPad, ring it to locate its exact location, lock it or erase its data.
So whether you own an Android phone or tablet, or an iPhone or your iPad, you do have options for tracking it down.
